About the role:
 

As a part of the Public Affairs team at Faces & Voices of Recovery and reporting to the Director of Public Affairs, the Public Affairs Program Assistant will create and implement social media marketing campaigns across all applicable platforms, assist with event logistics and fund development initiatives, manage team schedules, enforce project deadlines, and provide support as requested by the team.  


What you’ll do:
 

  • Delegate Social Media Tasks: Effectively delegate social media tasks to the Marketing & Communications team, overseeing the review process for leadership approval. 

  • Monitor Social Media Platforms: Regularly monitor social media platforms for post activities, interactions, follow requests, and opportunities for cross-sharing.  

  • Manage Travel Arrangements: Coordinate travel logistics and event arrangements, ensuring smooth execution and attendee satisfaction. 

  • Assist with Event Logistics: Provide support in planning, implementing, and following up on events, managing all aspects of event coordination.  

 

What you’ll bring:  

  • Detail-oriented approach to event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and on-site coordination, to deliver seamless and memorable experiences for participants. 

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for donor engagement and revenue generation, driving the growth of fundraising initiatives and maximizing donor contributions. 

  • Understanding of recovery principles, peer recovery support services, certification of peers, and recovery community organizations  

  • Interest in expanding your analysis and knowledge about the role that racial inequity plays in our society and committed to building and/or deepening your commitment to racial justice work 

  • Ability to travel as needed for business related needs, up to 15%


Preferred experience:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate (AA) or equivalent project management experience required  

  • Relevant editorial and curriculum development experience may be considered as a possible substitution 

  • Familiarity with healthcare, wellness or substance use disorder industry   

  • Familiarity with the Recovery Community Organization model

  • Compensation: $43,680 – $49,140 annually
