Date & Time
November 14, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST
Faces & Voices of Recovery invites recovery professionals in the state of Indiana to a FREE virtual Accreditation Academy training.
Through an initiative funded by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction, Faces & Voices is providing incentives in the amount of $2,000 to recovery organizations in Indiana. To be eligible, organizations must have completed the statewide RCO Assessment Survey and have received their Technical Assistance Plan with a letter of verification from the National Recovery Institute and attend at least six NRI Trainings funded by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction. For any questions, please reach out to Krissi Jacob, kjacob@facesandvoicesofrecovery.org
CAPRSS has developed a set of rigorous standards that come directly from the recovery community and reflect current practice in peer recovery support.
The standards are the core of the accreditation process. The CAPRSS Standards can be viewed as an external guide used to assess the capacity and efficiency of a PRSS program. Programs applying for accreditation will be evaluated on their ability to adhere closely to the standards. These standards can also be considered a guide that a PRSS program can use to conduct a self-inventory or to learn more about areas of excellence and the areas that may need improvement.
Accreditation 101 is our introduction to the Accreditation course, where we:
- Describe the mission and purpose of CAPRSS
- Provide an overview of the standards and criteria
- Describe the steps in the accreditation process
- Present resources for getting your organization accreditation ready and for completing your application for accreditation candidacy.
