The purpose of this Listening Session series is to provide a space for the recovery community in the state of Illinois to discuss how best to provide services to people with substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and other issues associated to the recovery community in a holistic, inclusive manner. For this first session, we plan on centering the discussion around the following three questions:

1. What is working well when providing holistic recovery services?
2. What could be better?
3. How do we move forward, together, to ensure all of the needs of the recovery community are being met?

We recognize that this is a need across the state and want to be intentional as well as nonprescriptive in this participatory process. As steps are made to further widen the net of the recovery community, we want to use these listening sessions as a way for individuals and organizations involved in recovery from substance use and mental health challenges to connect and move forward together in providing communities with the necessary services.
