Faces & Voices of Recovery invites recovery professionals in the state of Indiana to a FREE virtual training.

Through an initiative funded by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction, Faces & Voices is providing incentives in the amount of $2,000 to recovery organizations in Indiana. To be eligible, organizations must have completed the statewide RCO Assessment Survey and have received their Technical Assistance Plan with a letter of verification from the National Recovery Institute and attend at least six NRI Trainings funded by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction. Our Stories Have Power: Recovery Messaging is a training that promotes the use of groundbreaking messaging to advance the field of recovery. There is no more potent weapon against stigma than the thousands of people that have been trained using the recovery messaging tools. They are sharpening their skills as recovery communicators, learning how to tell their stories with a purpose.

Presenters:

Jay Hughes

Bio: Jay Hughes is an influential community leader whose non-traditional route to success includes 18 years of incarceration. Jay is the owner of Committed Consulting LLC. Committed Consulting success is largely due to Jay’s ability to take complex concepts in the field of addiction and recovery and make them clear, compelling, and concise. Jay is a certified peer specialist in addictive disease and mental health. Jay is an engaging presenter who is a content expert in substance use disorder and mental health recovery. He envisions a world where recovery is the expectation for all people. Jay lives in Atlanta Georgia where he enjoys exercise, kickboxing, and spending time with his family.

Ariel Britt

Bio: Ariel “Air” Britt is an exceptional speaker with a passion for community and service. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan. Ariel has spent most of her career focusing on intervention and recovery support services, strategic planning, facilitation, and program development. She is also the creator of the award-winning podcast Beauty in the Grit. In 2015, Ariel had the privilege of sharing her personal recovery experience at the White House. From this a greater opportunity was born and she currently resides in the nation’s capital serving as Associate Director for the
